Solange's Met Gala Outburst Not The First "Explosive Fight" Between Beyonce and Jay-Z — Report

We still don’t know the full story behind Solange’s elevator attack on Jay-Z at the Met Gala, but we may have a little insight as to why Beyonce stood by as the fight happened without trying to stop it. This may not have been the first time an outburst like this happened — in fact, some sources say that things have gotten violent between them before.

Apparently, back in 2013, Jay-Z got mad that Beyonce seemed distracted by her cell phone before her Super Bowl performance. The situation escalated quickly from there.



“He became scary that she wasn’t giving him her full attention, and he grabbed the mobile device out of her hands,” a source told BlindGossip.com. “He discovered that she was texting another man and started going through all her texts. His voice started out low, and he was swearing, ‘You motherf—ing b—tch!’”

From there, Beyonce reportedly started yelling and getting in his face, and Jay-Z wasn’t having it.

“She tried to get the phone back from him but he pushed her away and continued going through the phone and screaming at her, pushing her away, berating her, and started calling her every derogatory name for a woman in the book,” the source said.

As of now, things seem to be fine between the famous husband and wife duo, at least as far as the public eye is concerned. Judging by how happy they looked as they hung out with Jake Gyllenhaal at a Brooklyn Nets basketball game on May 10, you’d have no idea major drama went down in that elevator just days before. Suffice it to say we are truly lost as to what’s going on here.

But let’s take this new intel with a grain of salt before we start throwing around rumors of cheating and abuse, though. Until an official statement is released — and knowing how private Beyonce and Jay-Z are, that day may never come — we can’t come to any real conclusions about what happened.
